Rev. Thurselle C. Williams
Prepare to be inspired and uplifted by the dynamic presence of Rev. Thurselle C. Williams, our esteemed keynote speaker for Women's Weekend!
Hailing from the vibrant state of New Jersey, Rev. Williams is more than a preacher and teacher—she's a beacon of hope, a dedicated advocate for social justice, and a catalyst for positive change in her community.
Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and African American Studies from Rutgers University, along with advanced studies in Public Administration, Rev. Williams has dedicated her life to sharing the message of holistic Christian living. Her journey of faith led her to attain a Certificate of Christian Ministry and Chaplain's license from New York Theological Seminary, culminating in a Master's of Divinity from Drew Theological Seminary, with a concentration in Social Justice.
Through the grassroots efforts of "Zipporah," a faith-based nonprofit organization she founded, Rev. Williams embodies the ethos of "Restoration through Education," empowering individuals to overcome obstacles and embrace their full potential. With over two decades of experience, she has graced national and local Christian conferences, retreats, and churches, sharing her wisdom on faith, domestic violence awareness, healing, and empowerment.
Currently serving as the Executive Pastor of New Hope Baptist Church in East Orange, NJ, Rev. Williams is not only a spiritual leader but also a catalyst for interfaith dialogue and collaboration. As a pillar member of IAM (Interfaith Action Movement) and the founder of the daily devotional "Strength for the Day," she continues to inspire countless individuals to embrace faith and resilience in the face of adversity.
Rev. Williams's commitment to service extends beyond the pulpit, as she actively engages in political advocacy as the Interfaith Caucus chair of the Democratic Convention of the State of New Jersey. Yet, amidst her myriad of responsibilities, her greatest joy remains her devotion to her family—her loving husband Robert, and her children Gregory, Yasmine, Robert, Rakeim, and Rahzear.
